    THE DEVIL

Chains around the neck of the male and female of this card show the imprisonment of one's creative expression at the fifth chakra in the throat.  Sound healing is an important component of Spiral Qigong.  Natural vocalizations are another purifying agent for past emotionally repressed experiences.

The human figures are chained to a devilish figure in the back.  Part of the maturation process revealed through qigong dreaming is that there is no scapegoat for the woes of one's experience.  We attract into our lives that which we think, feel and believe deep down.  As we say in qigong, where the mind goes the qi follows.  Taking responsibility for our lives we can use qigong to purify our negative perceptions about ourselves and others and in so doing free ourselves from the symbolic chains that bind us.
